Ricky Williams criticizes Johnny Manziel for behavior after winning Heisman

Former University of Texas running back Ricky Williams, who won the 64th Heisman Trophy in 1998, criticized Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel for the way he has handled media attention following his 2012 Heisman victory.

After being introduced as the new running backs coach at the University of the Incarnate Word -- a small Catholic school in San Antonio -- Williams told Austin's KEYE-TV, "You know once you win the Heisman Trophy, there's going to be more attention on you. You are probably not going to be able to get away with all the stuff you got away with before."

"If the media did their research on who this kid was, nobody would be surprised," he added.

Manziel has been under intense scrutiny since he burst onto the scene last year, drawing criticism for his partying and more recently facing possible punishment for profiting off of autographs.
