Dolphins tight end Dustin Keller was carted off the field during Saturday night's preseason game after colliding with Texans safety D.J. Swearinger.

Keller's knee bent back in an awkward manner and he seemed to be in pain on the ground before the cart came out.

He was offered a multi-year deal by the Dolphins but took a one-year, $4.3 million deal instead. He said in May that he didn't feel the multi-year offer valued him enough, and he chose to take a gamble on himself. From The Miami Herald:

"My worth wasn't where I think it was at," Keller said. "So I took a gamble on myself and said I'm better than everyone thinks I am. This is where I want to be long term. But I want to prove to them I'm better than last year."

There's no further information available about the extent of Keller's injury or timetable for recovery.
