Former Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel will co-teach a coaching class at Akron this fall, reports The Associated Press.

Tressel will join former Akron coach Jim Dennison in leading "General Principles of Coaching." Tressel started his career as an assistant for Dennison in 1974. The class meets once per week until December and is open to students and the public, the AP reports.

Tressel's 10-year tenure as Ohio State coach ended on Memorial Day 2011 because of major NCAA violations.
