Tim Tebow's former quarterback coach Steve Clarkson believes Tebow might want to reconsider a different path to becoming an NFL quarterback by playing in the CFL, according to a USA Today report.

Clarkson worked with Tebow last February and said Tebow is better suited playing in the CFL this season. Clarkson said Tebow is "ultra-competitive" and sitting out won't be an option for him. Without a job in the NFL, Clarkson urged Tebow to play in the CFL as he "may have run out of options in the NFL."

Tebow was cut by the New England Patriots and cleared waivers which marks the third time in 18 months Tebow has been released. The Heisman Trophy winner played in three of New England's four preseason games where he completed 11 of his 30 pass attempts with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
