LSU will allow suspended running back Jeremy Hill to play in Saturday's game against UAB, reports the The Advocate.

Hill will not be in the starting lineup but instead will be a backup to Alfred Blue, Kenny Hilliard and Terrence Magee.

Blue got the start last week against TCU and is expected to get the nod on Saturday.

Hill, the Tigers' leading rusher last season with 755 yards, was suspended from the team in April after being arrested for punching a man outside a bar near the LSU campus, an incident that was caught on video.
