A man died at Candlestick Park after a fall before the San Francisco 49ers' game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, according to a report in the San Francisco Chronicle.

San Francisco police Officer Gordon Shyy told the Chronicle that a man in his 30s fell onto a sidewalk around the stadium and suffered serious injuries. Shyy told the paper that witnesses said the man appeared to be intoxicated. The fall happened shortly before 1:30 p.m. PT. Police are withholding the identity of the man until his family can be notified of his death, according to the report.
