Report: 49ers DT Ian Williams suffers broken ankle

In his first career start, San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Ian Williams broke his ankle in the 49ers' contest against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night.

Williams suffered the broken ankle in the first quarter of Sunday night's contest, Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reported. The 49ers have only officially said that Williams is out with a leg injury.

Williams was replaced by Glenn Dorsey, a former top-five pick by the Kansas City Chiefs who signed with the 49ers as a free agent in the offseason.

Williams was injured on the play in the first quarter in which he was blocked low by Seattle right guard J.R. Sweezy.
