The Minnesota Timberwolves announced that head coach Rick Adelman will return to coach the team next season, according to Sid Hartman of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor confirmed Adelman's return on Sunday. Adelman missed 11 games last season to tend to his wife while she was undergoing treatment for seizures. Adelman, a 22-year head coach in the NBA, guided the Timberwolves to a 31-51 record while missing the playoffs. Adelman's contract with the Timberwolves will run through the 2014-15 season where he will earn $5 million annually.
