Florida State has suspended starting linebacker Christian Jones and defensive tackle Eddie Goldman for Saturday night's game against Bethune-Cookman, FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher said Thursday.

According to The Orlando Sentinel, both have been suspended for an undisclosed violation of team rules.

“It is [disappointing]," Fisher said, according to the Sentinel. "I’ll correct it, but we all have to abide by certain guidelines. ... They’ll be back and ready to go on Monday.”

Jones has been a three-year starter for the Seminoles, and he is the team's second-leading tackler. He led the team in tackles last season. Terrance Smith, a sophomore, will take his place in the starting lineup.

The sophomore Goldman is in his first year starting for the Seminoles. He will be replaced by Demonte McAllister in the starting lineup, while senior reserve tackle Jacobbi McDaniel will see an increased role, Fisher said.
