Miami Dolphins Pro Bowl defensive end Cameron Wake could be out for up to three weeks with a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee, reports the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

Wake underwent tests on Monday, and the injury will not require surgery, according to the report.

Wake was injured on his team's first defensive series in its 27-23 victory over the Atlanta Falcons.

Derrick Shelby, in his second season with the Dolphins, replaced Wake and will likely get the starting nod until Wake is healthy enough to play again.
