San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree is working his way back from a torn Achilles injury suffered during Organized Team Activities in May.

49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman says that Crabtree is participating in meetings and doing movement drills as he is continuing the rehab process.

“He’s working hard,” Roman said via 49ers.com.

But Roman did not know when Crabtree will make it back on the field.

“I don’t think there’s any specific day or date. If we can get him back this year,” Roman said, “that’d be gravy."

Crabtree, a fifth-year player, had 85 catches for 1,105 yards and nine touchdowns last season. All were career-highs.

“I think the way he’s working now, it’s quite possible, but again, I think you probably want to talk to the medical staff,” Roman said.
