The Seattle Mariners and manager Eric Wedge will be parting ways after this season.

The 2007 AL Manager of the Year, Wedge informed the club Friday that he would not return after serving out the final three games of his three-year contract. Under Wedge's leadership the M's finished at or near the bottom of the AL West every year.

Wedge told reporters he felt he and the team's front office were not headed in the same direction.
