Oklahoma City guard Russell Westbrook says he may not be ready for the NBA's opening night.

At Friday's team media day, Westbrook told reporters he could not say for sure he would be on the court for the Thunders' first game Oct. 30. According to Darnell Mayberry of the Oklahoman, Westbrook is not setting any hard deadlines for himself:

“I don't know how long the process takes normally,” Westbrook said. “Everybody's body is different. I think once people see a certain knee injury everybody expects (the timeline to be) three or four months, or they say 10 days. But everybody reacts to certain injuries different. This is my first time ever being hurt and being out this long.”

The three-time All-Star had surgery on his right knee in the offseason after tearing his meniscus in the first round of the playoffs. Prior to the injury, Westbrook had not missed a game dating back to high school.
