Free-agent guard Delonte West has signed to play in China, according to a CSNNW.com report.

West, 30, agreed to a one-year deal with Fujian Xunxing in China. He will be free to sign with an NBA team looking for a veteran point guard after the Chinese Basketball Association's season ends in February.

NBA scouts will have the chance to observe West's skills in China, though they also will be scrutinizing his off-the-court actions. He last played for the Mavericks in 2011-12, averaging 10 points and three assists before being released during training camp.

West has a list of off-the-court issues on his résumé, including two suspensions and a 2009 arrest involving weapons. He has been open about his bipolar disorder, and has attributed some of his "self-loathing" to his condition. He has averaged 9.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists in eight NBA seasons.
