Tampa Bay's Wil Myers received a mock cheer from Boston fans before Game 2 of the ALDS on Saturday after his fielding error sparked a 5 run inning for the Red Sox the day before.

Myers was tracking a fly ball hit by David Ortiz in the 4th inning when to quit on the ball, which fell into play and was then trapped in the fence for a ground rule double. After the game Myers dispelled speculation that a fan or a member of the Boston bullpen had called for the ball, saying he simply saw CF Desmond Jennings out of the corner of his eye and gave up his pursuit.

The Rays went on to lose Game 1 12-2. https://twitter.com/Rachel__Nichols/status/386604641623875584
