Derrick Rose took part in an NBA game for the first time in 525 days on Saturday, scoring 13 points in 20 minutes on the floor, helping the Bulls win their exhibition opener over the Pacers in Indianapolis.

The 2011 MVP point guard went 5-for-12 from the field with two steals, and showed some of his old explosiveness with a breakaway dunk in the third quarter. There was some rust after the extended layof, though, as Rose turned the ball over four times.

Rose's last game appearance came in the Bulls' 2012 playoff opener against the 76ers, when he tore his ACL in the contest's final moments. The rigorous rehab cost Rose all of the 2012-13 season. https://twitter.com/AschNBA/statuses/386650782507884545
