Despite his two-year-old son being in critical condition, Vikings running back Adrian Peterson said he "without a doubt" plans to play in Sunday's game against the Panthers.

Peterson returned to the team’s Winter Park, Minn., facility in time for Friday’s practice.

“He had a difficult day,” head coach Leslie Frazier said. ”We expect him to play, but we’ll talk more over the next 24 hours.”

Here is a link to him speaking with reporters in the Vikings' locker Friday afternoon.

FARRAR: Reports: Adrian Peterson’s son in critical condition Peterson is third in the NFL with 421 rushing yards on 92 carries (4.6 average) with five touchdowns for the Vikings (1-3).
