A little over a year after she was abducted at gunpoint in Maryland, Violet Ripken, Cal Ripken Jr.'s mother, was threatened by a handgun-wielding man again.

TMZ Sports reports that Vi Ripken was confronted by a man with a handgun as she exited an NBRS bank Tuesday. The man demanded her car, at which point she pressed the panic alarm on her vehicle. The man fled, and was later apprehended by the police.

Ripken's mother was unharmed during the exchange, according to TMZ's report. Last July, Vi Ripken was abducted from her home by a man with a gun and was found uninjured 23 hours later in her vehicle.
