Miami Heat center Greg Oden was held out of practice on Wednesday after experiencing swelling in his reconstructed left knee, reports

Oden had his first 5-on-5 workout two days ago and is attempting to make a comeback after missing the better part of the last three seasons with recurring knee problems.

There is no timetable for Oden's return to the court.

Oden, 25, has only played in 82 games during his career in the NBA and hasn't appeared in an NBA game since December 2009.

"This has been three years for me, as long as it's no surgery, it's OK," he said. "This is going to be a long season, I'm going to get there."

"I was hoping it didn't (swell up) but it did, but what can I do about it?" Oden said. "Next thing to do is get (the swelling) back down and get out there and figure out what I can do to not let it swell again."
