Reports: Titans quarterback Jake Locker expected to start on Sunday vs. 49ers

Three weeks after suffering injuries to his hip and knee that were feared to be season-ending, Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker is expected to start on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers, according to multiple reports.

Locker was carted off the field during Tennessee's game against the Jets on Sept. 29. An MRI later in the week revealed that he had a strained hip and a sprained MCL in his right knee.

He was expected to miss four to six weeks.

The 25-year-old third-year QB practiced on Friday but moved with "a noticeable limp," according to Titans beat reporters.

Locker, the eighth overall pick in the 2011 draft, has completed 62.2 percent of his passes this season, throwing for 721 yards with six touchdowns and no interceptions. Tennessee lost both of the games he missed, with former Bills starter Ryan Fitzpatrick as the starting quarterback.
