Packers tight end Jermichael Finley is still in the ICU but will likely not need surgery after suffering a neck injury on Sunday.

Packers' tight end Jermichael Finley is not expected to need surgery after suffering a serious neck injury on Sunday, USA TODAY reports.

Finley was taken off the field on a backboard after lowering his head while being hit by Browns' safety Tashaun Gipson. Finley has been in an intensive care unit since the incident, but so far all tests have been negative and he has regained feeling in all of his extremities.

The extent of Finley's injury is still unknown, however, and tests are still underway, so it is unclear when he will be able to return to action.  NFL.com's Ian Rapoport has reported that Finley will be released from the ICU today and is able to walk freely.
