Broncos' HC John Fox is in the hospital after a dizzy spell in NC.

Denver head coach John Fox will miss between four and six weeks after impending surgery on an aortic valve, according to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer.

Fox was hospitalized Saturday near Charlotte, N.C., after becoming dizzy while golfing. Initial reports said Fox suffered a heart attack, and while those proved incorrect, trouble with a heart valve caused the episode.

The Broncos coach had been told previously about his heart condition but was hopeful it would not be an issue during the season. He had flown to North Carolina during the Broncos' bye week to meet with his doctor about having the procedure done after the season ends in February.
