The home of Seattle Mariners star pitcher Felix Hernandez caught fire on Monday, according to multiple reports.

The Seattle Times' Jeff Baker reported that fire crews responded to a "large residential fire" at Hernandez's home in Bellevue, Wash., Monday afternoon. There was no immediate word if anyone was in the home at the time of the fire, but Mariners spokesman Tim Hevly said that Hernandez and his family were OK.

"I have been in contact with Felix and he and his family are safe," Hevly told The Associated Press.

The Bellevue Fire Department posted a photo to Twitter of the fire, and later tweeted that the majority of the fire had been "knocked down":

The 27-year-old Hernandez has spent his entire major-league career in Seattle. According to Baker, Hernandez bought the home for $3.2 million in 2010. Hernandez is signed through the 2019 season with an option for 2020.
