The Northwestern University women's lacrosse team will take on the USC Trojans at Wrigley Field in April 2014, reports Philip Hersh of the Chicago Tribune.
The event will be the first lacrosse game ever played within the Friendly Confines of Wrigley Field. Northwestern had originally attempted to schedule the game against Notre Dame, but the school's decision to join the ACC made finding an open date too difficult.

The Wildcats have made the semifinals of the national championship tournament in each of the last nine years and have walked away as champions seven times over that stretch. The Trojans are coached by Northwestern grad and former All-America Lindsay Munday.
