Pac-12 Conference commissioner Larry Scott received a contract extension on Monday, which will keep him at his current position until the 2017-18 academic year, the league announced.

He was also named the Executive Chairman of Pac-12 Enterprises.

Scott took over the job in July 2009. Since then, the league expanded by two teams, added a football championship game and started a lucrative cable and digital network.

"I am honored and gratified by the support from the CEO Group of our great institutions," Scott said in a statement. "We have reached a number of key milestones in the past four years and none of this would have been possible without the vision and commitment of our board."
