Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte will miss time in the pool as he recovers from a torn MCL and sprained ACL he suffered during a run-in with a fan.

Rachel Axon of USA Today reports that Lochte suffered the knee injury when a teenage girl jumped on him and the Olympian lost his balance and fell to the ground. A representative for Lochte said he is is expected to come back at full strength:

"As a result of a freak injury caused by an unexpected fan encounter Ryan has suffered a torn MCL and an ACL sprain and will be taking a break from training and competition," said Janice Lee, his representative.
