Texans head coach Gary Kubiak will return to the team's sidelines next week, according to tweets from the Houston Chronicle's John McLain.

Kubiak was released from hospital and returned home Tuesday, two days after collapsing to the Reliant Stadium turf at halftime. Kubiak reportedly suffered a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA), often referred to as a “mini-stroke.”

Barring a setback, he is expected to miss the Texans' game against the Cardinals on Sunday, then resume his duties the following week in preparation for the Raiders in Week 11.

The Texans named defensive coordinator Wade Phillips the team's interim head coach earlier Wednesday.

Kubiak released a statement upon his release from the hospital:

"I want to thank my family, the McNair family, the Texans organization, the doctors and staff at Houston Methodist and the entire Houston community for all the love and support we have received over the past three days,” he said. "I’ve been through an ordeal and my focus now is to get back to good health. Doctors have told me I will make a full recovery but we have not determined when I will be cleared to return to the office. Again, thank you for the support and concern.”
