Jonathan Martin meeting with NFL special investigator on bullying allegations

Dolphins offensive lineman Jonathan Martin is meeting with the NFL's lawyer investigating allegations of bullying on the team. ESPN reports Martin and a companion arrived at special investigator Ted Wells' Manhattan office building Friday, where they were met by reporters. The offensive lineman smiled at questions but did not respond before entering the building.

Martin reportedly has alleged he was bullied by teammate Richie Incognito and other players before he left the team's facilities two weeks ago.

Incognito reportedly filed a grievance against the Dolphins earlier this week and has denied bullying Martin. He was suspended more than a week ago for conduct detrimental to the team following ESPN’s report that he used explicit language and racial slurs in voicemails to Martin.

The actions of head coach Joe Philbin, assistant coaches and Miami executives including general manager Jeff Ireland concerning Martin's allegations are also under investigation by Wells.

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross delayed his plans to meet with Martin, until the second-year player could meet with Wells. On Monday, Ross said two committees would examine the Dolphins' locker-room culture. Most of the team's players who have gone on the record have said no changes are needed.
