Dolphins offensive line coach Jim Turner will be a focus of the NFL's investigation into Jonathan Martin's bullying allegations, according to a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen.

Turner reportedly has a reputation for being a much beloved players coach who also is known for using loud, insulting and profane language with his offensive linemen.

Martin met with NFL special investigator Ted Wells for nearly seven hours on Friday in New York. His allegations reportedly have included harassment from since suspended guard Richie Incognito and other Dolphins offensive linemen and teammates.

Turner is in his first season with the Dolphins, having been hired in February. Turner was announced as the offensive line coach at Texas Tech in December of 2012 before Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Sherman lured him to Miami. Turner was offensive line coach under Sherman during his term as head coach at Texas A&M.

BURKE: The Dolphins are not the only NFL team with a bad offensive line

The NFL and the Dolphins are investigating the team's culture in separate probes related to Martin's allegations, and Turner's methods reportedly will come under scrutiny:

The NFL is aware of Turner's tactics, which are not unusual for coaches around the league, and wants to speak to him about the culture that existed around Miami's offensive line, sources told ESPN.

Sources in and outside the Dolphins organization said Turner, who has a military background, would "insult, bully and pile it on" Martin, who left the team last week.

Pro Football Talk recalled Turner describing Martin as very quiet -- and that's a good thing -- during 2012's season of "Hard Knocks" on HBO.
