The San Francisco Giants are close to finishing a deal with pitcher Tim Hudson worth $23 million over two years, according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.

The 38 year-old Hudson has spent the last nine seasons of his 15-year career with the Atlanta Braves, before becoming a free agent this off-season. Hudson was 8-7 with Atlanta last year and had a 3.87 ERA, the third-worst mark of his MLB career.

The Giants have already signed pitcher Tim Lincecum to a two-year, $35 million extension this offseason.
