Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly said that suspended quarterback Everett Golson has reapplied to the university after being booted from the school because of academic issues.

Golson admitted to Sports Illustratedthat he was caught cheating on an exam last spring, which led to his dismissal. Golson led the Irish to the BCS National Championship Game last season after starting 11 games.

"That application process has been submitted from what I know of," Kelly said during his weekly news conference, via Brian Hamilton of the Chicago Tribune. "And decisions relative to admissions happen in middle of December."
