UNLV football coach Bobby Hauck has agreed to a new three-year contract that will run through 2016, the school announced Wednesday. Hauck is 12-37 since taking over the program -- and began the 2013 season on the hot seat -- but the Rebels are going to a bowl game for the first time since 2000.

Taylor Burn of the Las Vegas Sun reported Hauck and the school were working on a new deal late last week, citing UNLV's four-game winning streak earlier in the season and the team becoming bowl eligible with a 41-21 win over Air Force last week.

"As I've said many times, my family and I are extremely happy at UNLV and love living in Las Vegas," Hauck said. "I am excited to tell our team and staff that we can now focus on continuing to build this football program and pursuing the ultimate goal of bringing a Mountain West Championship to UNLV."

Hauck reportedly had one year left on his current contract with an annual salary of $350,000.
