Cowboys' RB Lance Dunbar out for season with knee injury

Lance Dunbar will miss the remainder of the season after knee surgery.

Cowboys running back Lance Dunbar will miss the rest of the season after injuring his knee late in the team's game Thursday.

A report from DallasCowboys.com says that an MRI on Dunbar's left knee showed damage to his posterolateral corner which will require surgery and at least three months of recovery time.

Dunbar was having the best game of his career on Thanksgiving with 82 yards on 12 carries before he was hurt late in the fourth quarter. The second-year player has suffered multiple injuries this year. He missed the Cowboys opener with a foot injury and suffered a hamstring injury that forced him to miss two games mid-season.
