Rockets' Jeremy Lin out two weeks with knee sprain
The Rockets' first season with free-agent prize Dwight Howard at center has been riddled with injuries to their backcourt. James Harden has missed games on and off for three weeks with a nagging foot injury, and now the team will have to do without point guard Jeremy Lin for at least the next seven games.
Lin will be sidelined at least two weeks with a grade one knee sprain.
He incurred the injury in a collision with Hawks forward Paul Millsap in Wednesday’s win against Atlanta. Lin started three games in place of Harden, who is expected to return Friday against the Nets.
MAHONEY: Rockets experience rebounding shortage Lin has averaged 15.3 points and 4.5 assists per game so far this season. His absence should open more minutes for Patrick Beverley and Aaron Brooks.
