Forward Alex Murphy plans to transfer from Duke at the end of the semester, according to CBS Sports and the Duke Chronicle.

Murphy, a 6-foot-9 sophomore from Rhode Island via St. Mark's (Mass.), has played in just 33 minutes in five games for Duke this season. He played in 31 games last season as a redshirt freshman.

An announcement of Murphy's plans could be delayed until the completion of fall semester finals on Dec. 15 but be revealed prior to the team's next game Dec. 16 against Gardner-Webb.
