Phillies reportedly shopping Cliff Lee, Cole Hamels

The Phillies are open to trading Cliff Lee and Cole Hamels, according to ESPN's Buster Olney.

Olney tweeted that the Phillies have let teams know their front-line starting pitchers are available.

The Phillies appear willing to deal Lee and/or Hamels if it helps them get younger in an effort to rebound from last season's disappointing 73-89 record and fourth-place finish and keep up with the Braves and Nationals in the National League East.

Hamels, 30, signed a seven-year, $153 million extension a year and a half ago. He was 8-14 with a 3.60 ERA in 220 innings in 2013.

Lee, 35, was 14-8 with a 2.37 ERA in 222.2 innings last season. His acquisition in 2010 gave the Phillies what was arguably the majors' best starting rotation in 2011. The Phillies' horrendous start to the 2013 season quickly made Lee a trade target.
