The Colorado Rockies acquired lefthander Brett Anderson and cash from the Oakland Athletics for lefthander Drew Pomeranz and minor league pitcher Chris Jensen, both teams announced.

Anderson, 25, had a 1-4 record, three saves and a 6.04 ERA in five starts and 11 relief appearances in 2013. He was the team's Opening Day starter and ended up missing almost four months with an ankle injury.

Anderson has dealt with numerous injuries over the years, including strains to his elbow and oblique and undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2011.
