The Marlins are set to trade first baseman/outfielder Logan Morrison to the Mariners for right-handed pitcher Carter Capps, according to Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald.

The Marlins reportedly were intent on dealing Morrison after signing free agent Garrett Jones to play first base.

Morrison hit .242 with six home runs and 36 RBI in 84 games with the Marlins last season.
