The Calgary Flames fired general manager Jay Feaster and assistant general manager John Weisbrod Thursday, the team announced.

Feaster had been the general manager for the team since 2010 and during that tenure, the Flames have missed the playoffs each season.  The team's last playoff appearance came in the 2008-09 season.

The Flames are currently 13th in Western Conference this season with an 11-15-4 record.

Feaster won a Stanley Cup in 2004 as GM of the Tampa Bay Lightning, and was hired by the Flames as assistant GM in July 2010. He got the job full time the following May.
