The Packers will be without Aaron Rodgers for Sunday's game in Dallas, and now it appears the Cowboys will be without a key member of their defense.

Middle linebacker Sean Lee didn't practice on Friday, and the neck injury he suffered in Monday's loss to the Bears will likely keep him out against Green Bay, his teammates told Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com.

“I was surprised,” said defensive end DeMarcus Ware. “I just saw him in the meeting and I was like ‘Hey what’s wrong? You alright?’ He was a little bit upset, but things happen and you gotta keep rolling.”

According to ProFootballTalkLee later spoke to KRLD-FM and said he felt it was important not to rush back.

“I kind of have to let it heal for me to be able to even do my job. I wouldn’t probably be able to make it through the game until I let it heal. Hopefully it can heal up faster, and we’ll look at it next week. Hopefully it will look a lot better.”

Lee missed the two games prior to the Chicago game with a hamstring injury but still has 68 solo tackles on the year. His best game of the season came in a Week 4 loss to the Chargers when he made 15 tackles and returned an interception for a touchdown.

The Cowboys (7-6) are 2-0 without Lee, while Green Bay is 1-4-1 without Rodgers. Dallas is one game behind Philadelphia in the NFC East with three games to play, including a Week 17 matchup with the Eagles.
