Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will not play in Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys, the team announced Friday.

Rodgers has not played since breaking his left collarbone in a loss to the Chicago Bears on Nov. 4. Packers coach Mike McCarthy said that Rodgers felt he was ready to play and that he is disappointed and frustrated with the decision.

Rodgers has practiced this week, but doctors still have not cleared him to play. Backup Matt Flynn took reps with the first-team starters during Friday's practice.
