Report: Phillies very willing to trade Jimmy Rollins

The Phillies would love to trade Jimmy Rollins, as the 35-year-old shortstop is due to make $11 million in 2014 with a vesting option for another $11 million in 2015.

Philadelphia has told other teams, as it did before the trade deadline last year, that Rollins is available, according to ESPN's Buster Olney.

But a trade for the 2007 NL MVP is unlikely, as Rollins had a precipitous decline in production last season and has a no-trade clause in his contract. The three-time All Star hit .252 with a career-low six homers, 39 RBIs and .667 OPS in 160 games last year.

Rollins has played his entire 14-year career with the Phillies, who have missed the playoffs the last two seasons after five straight postseason appearances from 2007-11, including winning the 2008 World Series.
