Woman with ties to Aaron Hernandez dies unexpectedly

A Bristol, Conn., woman with ties to former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez died unexpectedly on Monday, according to a report from Pat Eaton-Robb of the Associated Press.

Hernandez, 24, is awaiting trial for the alleged killing of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd in June. Lloyd, a semi-pro football player, was dating the sister of Hernandez's girlfriend.

Southington, Conn., police are investigating the death of Tabitha Perry, 27, who was found unconscious Monday inside a Southington home. Officials say the death is not considered suspicious.

This past June, Perry survived a car crash that left Hernandez’s friend, Thaddeus Singleton III, dead. According to the report, citing information from police, Perry and Singleton had a child together.

The precise cause of Perry's death remains unknown. Police said Tuesday they are awaiting the results of toxicology tests. This past August, two months after Perry's car crash, Hernandez's uncle, Robert Valentine, also died in a car accident.
