The job security of Knicks head coach Mike Woodson continues to be the topic of discussion with every loss by New York, which currently owns the fourth-worst record in the NBA.

The Washington Wizards' 102-101 win against New York (7-17) on Monday night at Madison Square has prompted questions again as to whether team owner James Dolan will give the boot to Woodson, who is currently in his second season as head coach of the Knicks.

Woodson was questioned by the media following the loss to Washington for not taking a timeout after Bradley Beal's layup put the Wizards up one, and New York immediately inbounded the ball with 6.9 seconds remaining in the game to force a shot by Anthony that was somewhere in between a half-court heave and a three point attempt.

Woodson said after the game, "I probably should have taken a timeout there at the end."

Anthony, who finished with 32 points on the night, initially declined to answer questions about Woodson's status with the team, but then chimed in with thoughts on his coach's job security, according to a report from Ian Begley on ESPNNewYork.com:

"As far as I’m concerned, he’s secure right now. I haven’t heard anything. There’s nothing to discuss. He’s our coach, and we’re rolling with him...That's a tough way to lose a game. If [Woodson] said it's his fault, there's no need for me to make excuses or talk about it. As players, we have to be smarter. We knew we had timeouts. I was just trying to get a shot."

Less than a month ago, Dolan expressed his support of Woodson, telling Mike Vaccaro of the New York Post that he has "complete confidence” in him. Days later, Woodson would go on to say that he doesn't believe he's "lost the locker room," but Anthony admitted then that the team is in fact worried about Woodson's job security..
