The Braves finalized details in a trade with the Twins that will bring catcher/outfielder Ryan Doumit to Atlanta, as first reported by Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports.

Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports the Twins will receive left-handed pitcher Sean Gilmartin in the deal.

The Twins later confirmed the trade via Twitter.

Doumit, 32, hit .247/.314/.396 while missing games with concussion symptoms in 2013. He hit .275/.320/.461 with a career-high 18 homers for the Twins in 2012.

He could compete for innings with Christian Bethancourt, Evan Gattis and Gerald Laird after Brian McCann signed with the Yankees.

Gilmartin has played three seasons in the Braves farm system, finishing up 2013 at Triple-A Gwinnett.
