Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson will not play this Sunday so that he can attend to family issues following the death of his mother, according to ESPN's Mike Rodak.

Buffalo coach Doug Marrone noted earlier in the week that Johnson may need to miss the Bills' game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, and that he had returned to his family home near San Francisco this week after his mother, Rhonda, died unexpectedly on Saturday at the age of 48.

Johnson elected to play in the team's 27-20 win last week against Jacksonville after finding out about his mother's death Saturday night.
