Rakuten Golden Eagles president Yozo Tachibana said that the team is still having internal discussions about what to do with Masahiro Tanaka and has not made a final decision on his future with the team, according to various media reports including Hardballtalk.com.

That contradicts reports from earlier this week that the team would not let Tanaka head to MLB.

Tanaka went  24-0 with a 1.27 ERA in the Pacific League last season and requested this week to be posted so he could go to the majors, but the team still has control over Tanaka.
