Getting Aaron Rodgers back wasn't the only positive news for the Packers on Thursday.

Head coach Mike McCarthy also said during his afternoon press conference that rookie Eddie Lacy, who is battling an ankle injury, will likely play in Chicago when the Packers (7-7-1) visit the Bears (8-7) on Sunday with the NFC North title on the line.

“I feel Eddie’s in a good place,” McCarthy said.  . . . I expect him to play.”

Lacy sat out of practice on Thursday, and McCarthy said he doesn't need to practice on Friday, either, to be able to play Sunday. However, the coach believes the rookie of the year candidate will participate in tomorrow's workout.

Lacy, 23, has rushed for 1,112 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also has 33 receptions for 242 yards.
