Adrian Peterson will not play in the Minnesota Vikings' game on Sunday, according to the Associated Press.
Peterson injured his ankle earlier this month in the team's loss to the Baltimore Ravens, and was hampered by the injury when he returned to action last week against the Cincinnati Bengals. Peterson also dealt with a sore groin which affected his play earlier in the season.

The 4-10-1 Vikings take on the Detroit Lions in the final game of the season. Both teams have been eliminated from playoff contention.
