Although the team started 0-6 and missed the playoffs this season, New York Giants executives expressed a desire to have coach Tom Coughlin back for another season.

Coughlin, 67, completed his 10th season with the team, and the Giants finished with a 7-9 record, their worst mark since 2004, which was Coughlin's first season with the team.

"I expressed to Tom we do want him back. I do have confidence in him," Giants president and CEO John Mara said, via the New York Daily News.
